With the Judges
I was born in Toledo, Ohio and was raised with three siblings and learned early on the value of hard work, teamwork and perseverance. My mother was a stay at home mother. My father was an officer on the Toledo Police Department. My first job was as a paperboy for the Toledo Times.
For grade school I attended St. John the Baptist School and then went onto attend Central Catholic High School. I was active in the music program and was a member of the High School Band. After graduation from High School, I attended the University of Toledo and received a Bachelor of Education and was certified to teach Social Studies in High School, along with music in grades 7 through 12.
I worked my way through college. In addition to a number of summer jobs, I was part of two different businesses: a photo business and a local band. The photo business did commercial, portrait, and wedding photography. The band played at weddings, night clubs, and church festivals. I learned early on the value of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance.
After college I enrolled at the University of Toledo, College of Law and received the degree of Juris Doctor in 1976, successfully passing the Ohio Bar exam in 1976 and the Michigan Bar exam in 1977. I maintain an active law practice in the Point Place area of Toledo.
Today in the practice of law, I represent small business and individuals. My practice is concentrated on business, real estate, estate planning, elder law, and probate. I have had the privilege of serving as Special Counsel to a number of Ohio Attorney Generals including our current Attorney General, Dave Yost
I am a current member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A member of the Old Newsboys. A past President and Past Secretary of West Toledo Kiwanis. While a past President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Point Place Business Association, I have the honor of having served the most terms as President. In 2016 I was honored as the Grand Marshal of the Point Place Days Parade. In 2017 I was named "Ole Man of the River", an honor bestowed on me in recognition of my many community service accomplishments.
Today, I want to serve as your voice in Toledo City Council. A voice that echoes your concerns. A voice that matters. A voice that cares.
